The special focus of these services is a quality residential program which enables clients to live and function within the communities with which they are familiar. FORWARD VISIONS establishes homes within Baltimore County neighborhoods which look like any other houses in their respective areas. These Alternative Living Units and Group Homes become home to adults with developmental disabilities.

Each home is staffed by individuals who are hired, trained and supervised by FORWARD VISIONS. The staff offers assistance to residents with daily living skills such as bathing, making beds and cooking. An ongoing emphasis is placed on helping each client maximize his or her physical, intellectual and social growth to the greatest extent possible.

Transportation to and from activities of a social or recreational nature, as well as to and from medical and therapy appointments, is provided to each home’s residents. Enhancing all of the care offered to each FORWARD VISIONS client is a commitment to the best quality of service possible. This commitment is borne out by the interaction of staff members and by their attention to fulfilling each client’s individual physical and emotional needs as well as by encouraging them to stretch their skill levels in a constant striving to reach for each individual’s potential.
